Bhubaneswar: At least three vehicles were torched by warring factions following a group clash on Saturday night on the premises of Utkal University here.
According to reports, two rival groups were involved in an infighting late night on Saturday. Following the clash, miscreants arrived at the hostel torched and damaged two-wheelers parked there.
Tension continues to prevail in Vani Vihar campus after Saturday night’s incident. Complaints have been filed with Saheed Nagar police in this connection.
A team led by PG Council Chairman is probing into the violence, said sources. Reports added that the incident could be an outcome of differences between the two groups over upcoming urban body polls.
