Bhubaneswar: At least seven persons sustained injuries as a violent group clash erupted at Manikapatana village under Aul police station in Kendrapara district, late Sunday night.

The injured individuals, including a woman, were initially admitted to the Aul Health Centre in a critical condition. Due to the severity of their injuries, the victims were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for further treatment.

The clash reportedly occurred over a long-standing land dispute between two families, Shankarsan Das and Bharat Das.

The clash erupted when one group began construction work on the disputed land. However, the situation worsened at night when a dispute over parking a vehicle turned ugly.

The violence resulted in seven persons from both sides being admitted to the hospital with severe injuries. Four of the injured individuals slipped into unconsciousness due to severe blood loss.

Among the injured, one woman was seriously hurt. All the injured were initially taken to the local health centre and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.

Upon being informed,  police reached the spot to investigate the matter
