Bargarh: The Enforcement Wing of Goods & Services Tax (GST) Bargarh Unit on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at the office and residence of Works Contractor Tashobanta Das in the Gangadhar Nagar area of Bargarh district headquarters town over suspected evasion of GST.
Four teams of the GST Enforcement Wing pored over files and documents at Das’ office and residence to trace out irregularities if any.
“We are here at Works Contractor Tashobanta Das’ premises for inspection. He has two more firms Sushma and Sreema. He is the proprietor of these three firms. We are inspecting the documents here at his office. Earlier, we have inspected his residence. We found some mismatches in ITC during our routine scrutiny. Therefore this inspection,” informed Deputy Commissioner, GST Enforcement, Bargarh Unit, Navidatya Nayak.
