Bhubaneswar: There seems to be no respite from severe cold wave conditions in Odisha, with the Similipal Tiger Reserve’s Gurguria hitting 1 °C.
The temperature in Similipal’s surrounding areas is quite chilly this morning, with readings as low as 1°C in Gurguria and 2°C in Upper Baraha Kamuda (UBK) and Chahala. Barehipani is slightly warmer at 5°C, while Ramatirtha, Kiajhari, and Satkosia are relatively milder at 9°C and 10°C respectively.
The Similipal Tiger Reserve authorities have confirmed the temperature readings.
The harsh weather conditions have disrupted daily life, with residents struggling to cope with the freezing temperatures.
