Bhubaneswar: A half charred body of a middle-aged woman has been recovered from a house in Madhusudan Nagar under Kharvela Nagar police limits of the Capital city today.
The deceased has been identified as Minushri Praharaj (52), wife of Bishnu Mohan Praharaj, a resident of Plot no. 24 of Madhusudan Nagar. It is suspected to be a case of murder. Minushri is suspected to have been set afire after being doused with kerosene.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off Kharvela Nagar reached the spot and seized the body before sending it for post-mortem.
Police have detained deceased Minushri’s husband Bishnu Mohan for questioning.
However, Bishnu Mohan is learnt to have told the police that he had last seen his wife at 9.30 PM on Wednesday.
