Bhubaneswar: Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body of Assistant Block Development Officer (ABDO) of Harichandanpur from Harichandanpur railway station in Keonjhar district, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Bidhubhushan Jeena.
Though the reason behind death is yet to be ascertained, family members of the deceased ABDO has leveled murder allegations. They, meanwhile, demanded an impartial investigation into the matter.
According to sources, locals spotted the body of ABDO and informed police.
On a tip-off, Government Railway Police and Harichandanpur police reached the spot and seized the body before sending it for post-mortem.
Harichandanpur BDO said, “We got to know about the matter at 10am. His body was sent for post-mortem. The exact reason behind his death will be ascertained after post-mortem report comes. He was not disturbed by the work pressure. Police investigation is on and it will clear the exact cause of his death.”
