Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced that HCL Tech will soon establish both a campus and a university in the state.
The announcement was made on Monday following the Chief Minister’s participation in the Delhi Investors’ Meet.
During a two-day visit to New Delhi, CM Majhi visited the HCL Tech campus, where he engaged in discussions with the company officials.
“We had an in-depth tour of the HCL Tech campus and engaged in productive talks with their team. After the visit, we invited HCL Tech officials to Odisha, specifically to Bhubaneswar and the Jagannath temple in Puri. We presented them with a proposal to establish a campus and a university here,” said CM Majhi.
He added, “The HCL team was impressed with the proposal and has expressed keen interest in setting up a presence in Odisha. They have given a positive response and we are hopeful that the campus will soon be established. Once HCL Tech is here, we will discuss the next steps regarding their investment in the state.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the agreement is a significant step toward bolstering Odisha’s position as a hub for technology and education, with HCL Tech’s forthcoming establishment expected to create numerous opportunities for local talent and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
