Bhubaneswar: HDFC Bank conducted its 14th Annual blood donation drive in Odisha on Friday at Bank House, Infocity, Bhubaneswar.
During this drive, 24,375 Units of Blood were collected from over 300 Camps throughout the State, said an official press release.
HDFC Bank has been conducting a blood donation campaign since 2007 and each subsequent year has witnessed more enthusiasm, more awareness, and increased support from all stakeholders for this noble initiative. These blood donation camps is a pan-India initiative of the Bank.
HDFC Bank tied up with Local Blood Banks, Colleges, and Universities for this noble cause.
Over the Years HDFC Bank has made a difference in society by not only saving lives but also creating awareness about Blood Donation activity.
For the noble initiative, HDFC Bank has been appreciated by the State Government for continuous 3 years from 2016 -2018.
Also, Bank has its name in the Guinness book of world record for getting recognized for the largest blood donation (multiple venues) in a single day by any organization.
This year more than 300 camps are being conducted across the state of Odisha.
The noble event was graced by Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu. Sahu motivated all donors and congratulated all volunteers for stepping ahead for this noble cause. He also shared his thoughts on encouraging young donors to come forward and create more awareness in society.
This drive will help in meeting the requirement for blood across districts in crucial times. Many eminent personalities and senior bureaucrats joined Bank Blood Donation camps across the State to encourage and support this noble cause. Bank will be conducting more camps till December 15 in the State this year.
Zonal Head of HDFC Bank Deepak Kumar Singh and Ops Head Rishi Ganguly were present with all officials of HDFC Bank to facilitate the smooth collections across the camps.
