Bhubaneswar: HDFC Bank’s Nayapalli Branch, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society and Rotary Club Tangent 8, Bhubaneswar (District 3262), organised a blood donation camp on Monday to promote voluntary blood donation and community welfare.
The camp was inaugurated by Health and Family Welfare, Parliamentary Affairs, and Electronics & IT Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, who praised the initiative and underlined the significance of blood donation in saving lives. He said partnerships between corporates, social organisations, and the government play a vital role in strengthening healthcare support systems.
Swayam Baral, Council Member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Executive Body Member of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, also attended the event.
The programme saw enthusiastic participation from HDFC Bank employees, customers, and local community members who came forward to donate blood. The collected units will be routed through the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, to support patients across the state.
Senior officials of HDFC Bank said the bank remains committed to social responsibility and community development, and the blood donation drive reflects its core values of care, service, and welfare.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to donors and organisers, along with an appeal to the community—especially youth—to actively support such life-saving initiatives.
