Bhubaneswar: The Headmaster In-Charge of a High School here was apprehended by the Vigilance while he was allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 12,000.
According to the Vigilance, the headmaster in question, Sanjay Samal was accepting a bribe from a poor parent for issuing Original Board Certificate, Marksheet and School Leaving Certificate of his daughters who had graduated from the school recently.
The matter pertains to Kumjharia SC & ST Development High School in Sundargarh district, where Samal works.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance has booked Samal under Section 7 of the P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018. Further investigation is on.
