Bhubaneswar: The headmistress of a school in Baramundali in Ganjam district was suspended after video of students dancing to the tunes of the song ‘Srivalli’ in a classroom went viral.
The District Education Officer (DEO) placed the headmistress under suspension following an inquiry, Sheragada Block Education Officer (BEO) confirmed.
Ganjam Collector took cognisance of the matter after the videos were making rounds on the social media and instructed the DEO to conduct an inquiry.
The viral video showed students in school uniforms dancing their hearts out to the hit song from the movie Pushpa playing on television in the classroom.
Though the students acted on their own and teachers were not involved, no teachers could be seen in the classroom.
