Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today issued a detailed guideline to the districts for the mass COVID-19 vaccination drive which begins on January 16.
According to the H&FW Department, the vaccination programme will start at 160 session sites of all 30 districts and five Municipal Corporations.
“Thereafter, the sessions sites can be increased or changed so as to utilise the entire available vaccines within one week,” a letter from Additional Chief Secretary, H&FW Department PK Mohapatra to the district collectors and municipal commissioners stated.
In the first lot issued by the Centre, Odisha received 4.08 lakh doses of COVISHIELD vaccine and 20,000 doses of COVAXIN vaccine.
