Bhubaneswar: With the creation of new posts in Odisha Medical and Health Service, Secretary of the department Shalini Pandit has requested the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to start the process for recruitment of 7276 doctors in Class-A posts.

In a letter to the OPSC on Monday, Pandit stated: “The above vacancies are required to be filled up on regular basis on the recommendation of the Odisha Public Service Commission as per the provisions of Odisha Medical & Health Services Rule, 2017, Odisha Medical & Health Services Amendment, GA & PG Department Notification on February 22, 2021 and under OMHS Cadre Rules, 2017, on one time basis.”
“The qualifying marks will be decided by the OPSC while recommending the required number of doctors,” the letter further read.
