Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable display of administrative efficiency, Sushree Sangita Sahu, a differently-abled girl from Ter village in Kendrapara’s Mahakalapada block, received her long-overdue disability certificate within seven hours, thanks to the intervention of Health and Family Welfare Minister, Mukesh Mahaling.
The certificate will now enable her to access government allowances and benefits under various schemes, which she had been deprived of for over a decade.
Sushree Sangita’s struggle came to light through social media and newspaper reports, prompting Minister Mahaling to take immediate action.
He directed the Kendrapara Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) to conduct a medical examination and issue the disability certificate without delay.
Following the minister’s orders, the process was completed swiftly, resolving a longstanding issue that had prevented Sushree Sangita from availing herself of essential support.
The prompt resolution has earned widespread appreciation from Sushree Sangita’s family and social workers in Mahakalapada, who have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the minister for his proactive approach.
Minister Mahaling reiterated his commitment to supporting the differently-abled community, urging health department officials and the public to extend sincere assistance to those in need.
