Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling has warned private hospitals against negligence in providing healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He emphasized that strong action will be taken against hospitals found negligent in treating patients.
The minister’s remarks come after a meeting with private hospital representatives, where they raised concerns about software issues, package prices, and operational problems. Dr. Mahaling assured that the government is working to address these issues, including increasing package prices.
Currently, around 5,000 patients are receiving treatment daily in private hospitals under the scheme. The government aims to ensure that no beneficiary is left out and that healthcare services are provided without negligence.
The state government is also planning to increase the Ayushman package to provide more benefits to the people. The discussion between the government and private hospitals aims to resolve the issues and improve healthcare services in Odisha.
