Paradip: Autopsy of the body of Milyakov Sergey, the 51-year-old Russian chief engineer of cargo ship M B Aldnah, who was found dead in the ship anchored at Paradip Port in Jagatsinghpur district on January 3, revealed that he died of heart attack.
Jagatsinghpur SP Rahul PR said that Sergey’s post-mortem report revealed that he died of myocardial infarction, commonly called a heart attack. Authorities from Russia are arriving to collect his body. It will be handed over after checking their credentials.
The post-mortem was conducted by a special team of doctors at the Kujang post-mortem centre in the presence of Kujang Tahasildar and IIC of Marine police station. The entire proceedings of the autopsy were videographed.
Viscera samples of Sergey’s vital organs like brain, heart, lungs, etc have been collected and arrangements have been made for sending those to the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) at Bhubaneswar.
