Bhubaneswar: Sweltering heat and humid conditions made life miserable as mercury breached 40 degrees Celsius mark in 15 places across Odisha today.
For the first time this season, maximum temperature crossed 45 degrees Celsius in two places-Bolangir 45.3 and Titilagarh 45.2 degrees Celsius.
As many as five places in the State recorded maximum temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius or above.
Bolangir was the hottest place in the State and recorded a maximum temperature of 45.3 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there will be no major change in day temperature in the coming two days.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in most places in the western part of the State.
