Bhubaneswar: Sweltering heat wave conditions prevailed in Odisha for the second consecutive day.
The mercury in as many as 18 places across the State breached the 40°Celsius mark.
The district headquarters town of Boudh remained the hottest place in the state for the second consecutive day by recording a maximum day temperature of 42.5°C, a 0.5°C higher than yesterday.

The weather agency has said that there shall be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day temperature) during the next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.
Maximum temperature is very likely to be 40°C or more at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3-4 days. Hot and discomfort weather at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3-4 days. People are advised to take precautionary measures while going outside, it added.
