Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast hot weather and heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some districts of Odisha during the next five days.
The maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 4-6°Celsius at a few places over the districts during the next five days, the IMD said in a special bulletin.
The weather agency has issued ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ alert for a few places in the districts during the next five days.
The IMD has advised people to take precautionary measures by avoiding heat exposure, keeping cool, and avoiding dehydration while going outside during the daytime between 11 AM to 3 PM.

Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Puri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada.
