Bhubaneswar: Heat wave condition is very likely to prevail over some districts of Odisha for the next two days, informed the Regional Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Friday.
Heat wave is very likely at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and Bolangir today.
Similarly, over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and Bolangir tomorrow.
There will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next two days and a slight decrease of about 2°C in the subsequent two to three days over the districts of Odisha.
The maximum temperature is very likely to be more than 40°C and it is likely to be above normal by 3 to 5°C at many places over districts of interior Odisha and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places of coastal Odisha during the next two days.
The IMD has advised people to take precautionary measures while going outside during day time between 1100 IST-1500 IST during the next two days.
