Bhubaneswar: Several parts of the State are experiencing scorching heat, with many districts recording record-high temperatures crossing 40 degrees C today.
Angul has been hit the hardest, with the mercury soaring to 42.7 degrees Celsius. Other districts that have witnessed extremely high temperatures include Boudh (41.8 degrees), Jharsuguda (41.6 degrees), Titlagarh (41.5 degrees), and Sonepur (41.4 degrees), weather scientist Umashankar Dash stated through ‘X’..
Other areas that have recorded high temperatures include Hirakud (40.3 degrees), Sambalpur (40 degrees), Rourkela (39.8 degrees), Kendujhar (38.2 degrees), and Bhubaneswar (36.8 degrees). The heatwave has left residents seeking relief from the sweltering temperatures.
