Bhubaneswar: The heat wave has made a comeback to Odisha after a brief break with 14 places recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius today.
Nor ‘wester induced rain had brought a brief spell of relief from the sizzling heatwave.
The State is experiencing heat and humidity over the last two as mercury is hovering around 40 degrees Celsius in many places across the State.
As many as 14 places in the state today recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.
Boudh turned out to be the hottest place by recording the highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius.
Further, the IMD has predicted hot weather conditions for Odisha in the upcoming days.
As per the forecast of Bhubaneswar MeT, the maximum temperature is likely to rise further by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next two days.
Subsequently, the day temperature is likely to be 40 degrees Celsius or above at a few places during next 4-5 days.
