Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions prevailed across Odisha today as four places recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius and above.
The western Odisha town of Titilagarh was the hottest place as it recorded the day’s highest temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the State, according to information shared by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
The three other places that recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius and above are Sonepur (40.2), Bolangir (40.5), and Baripada (40.0).
As many as 20 places in the State recorded temperature of 37 degree Celsius and above.
While the Capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 degree Celsius, Cuttack recorded 37 degree Celsius.
