Heatwave Conditions To Prevail In Odisha Till May 13: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha till May 13, according to the prediction of IMD.

According to the IMD’s prediction for May 8, hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur.

“Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda and Sambalpur. Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur”, read the IMD’s forecast for May 9.

As per the IMD’s prediction for May 10, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir and Sambalpur. Besides, hot and humid conditions is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.

For May 11, the regional weather office has issued a yellow warning for heatwave conditions at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur. That apart, hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurdha, Cuttack and Jajpur.

For May 12, the regional weather office has predicted heatwave conditions likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and Sonepur. Besides, hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.
