Heatwave To Make Comeback In Odisha After April 13: IMD

Bhubaneswar: After a short spell of respite from the gruelling heat due to rain under westerlies, the heatwave condition is likely make a comeback as IMD predicted a sudden increase in the mercury level from April 13.

The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said through a statement that the day temperature is likely to increase by 3 to 4 degrees with the effect of dry air from the west and north-west direction after April 13. However,  there is no possibility of significant change in temperature till April 12.

Some interior and western regions in the State are likely to record 40 degrees Celsius or more, the weather agency stated through a post on ‘X’.

No large change in maximum day temperature will occur during next three days, the IMD said.

Meanwhile, all the weather stations in the State recorded below 40 degrees C temperature. Paralakhemundi recorded highest maximum temperature of 39.3 while Titilagarh came next with 37.5 and Malkangiri remained in the third spot at 37.1 degrees C. Paradip witnessed 37 Degrees C day temperature.
