Bhubaneswar: Spells of heavy rain affected normal life in the twin city of Odisha on Saturday. As warned by the Regional Meteorological Centre, water logging was witnessed in low-lying areas and underpass roads of the cities.
The weather agency has also warned that moderate rain/thundershowers with one or two intense/heavy spells of rain are likely to affect some other parts of the State today. It may lead to water logging, occasional poor visibility, and traffic disruption in urban areas.
The districts likely to be affected are Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khordha, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Boudh, and Angul.
The Meteorological Centre has advised to avoid movement in affected areas and do arrangements for drainage of excess water.
