Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated heavy rain in several districts of Odisha, including Khurda (covering Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack, and Kendrapara, over the next 24 hours.

Residents are advised to stay alert and prepare for potential disruptions. The IMD’s warnings are based on a weather pattern that is likely to bring heavy rain to multiple districts in Odisha.

Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, twin cities, experienced heavy rain on Wednesday evening. Many low-lying areas were inundated due to incessant downpours.

The temperature in Bhubaneswar is around 26 degrees Celsius with 93% humidity and an 80% chance of precipitation. Wind speeds are expected to be around 30-40 kmph. The IMD has issued a warning for these districts, indicating a high likelihood of severe weather conditions.
