Heavy Rain Predicted In Twin City Within Next Two Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Metrological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in twin city areas (Bhubaneswar-Cuttack) within the next two hours.

“Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershower with one or two intense spells of rain/ thundershower (2-3 cm) is very likely to occur over Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city,” IMD bulletin stated.

The IMD has issued an orange warning (Be Prepared). Intense and heavy rainfall is very likely to occur in some areas of the Twin city area.

Temporary traffic congestion may occur in the city. Visibility will be reduced during heavy rain.

The weather agency also predicted water logging in low-lying areas in the twin cities.

The IMD advised the commuters to follow traffic advisory during heavy rain. It also advised people to avoid driving during rain.
