Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of yellow and orange warnings for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across various districts of Odisha, effective until July 28.
According to IMD’s mid-weather bulletin, the IMD stated that a cyclonic circulation persists over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas, extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilting southeastward. In addition, a remnant of Tropical Cyclone Wipha is likely to emerge over the North Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is expected to develop in the subsequent 48 hours, potentially leading to increased rainfall activity across the state.
