Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall or thunderstorm with lightning is to lash several districts of Odisha for the next five days, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning are very likely to occur at
one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput,Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Nayagarh during the next 24 hours.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Rayagada on Day 2.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore during the same period.
Further heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, and Nuapada on Day 3, over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, and Jagatsinghpur on Day 4.
Similarly, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, and Bolangir on Day 5.
