Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kandhamal and Gajapati in the next 24 hours under the impact of the cyclonic circulation over the West-central Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh coast.
As per the latest IMD prediction, thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
For July 10, the weather office forecasts light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Odisha and one or two places over the districts of North Odisha.

According to the weather prediction for July 12, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South Odisha and a few places over North Odisha. Similarly, it predicted light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha for July 13 and July 14.
On July 7, Nuapada received the highest temperature of 36.4°C while Boudh and Pulbani recorded the lowest temperature of 22.5°C.
