Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain during the next five days under the influence of a fresh low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday said that an east-west trough now runs from Andhra Pradesh coast to south coastal Maynmar with two embedded upper air cyclonic circulations – one over west-central Bay of Bengal and the second over south coastal Myanmar and neighbourhood.

The second upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to move west-northwestwards.

Under the influence of these two upper air cyclonic circulations, a low-pressure area is likely to form over west-central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around Monday, the IMD said.
