Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure system has formed over the North Bay of Bengal, and under its influence, Odisha is expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next two days, with some areas potentially receiving extremely heavy rainfall.
According to the IMD prediction for today, four districts in Odisha have been placed under an orange warning due to the threat of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. These districts include Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
Several other districts in Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall, including Sundargarh, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Angul. These districts have been issued yellow warnings.
According to the IMD’s prediction for July 25, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts have been issued red warnings, anticipating extremely heavy rainfall. Additionally, an orange warning has been issued for several districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Sundargarh.
On July 26, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
