Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in 14 districts across Odisha during the next 24 hours under the influence of the Deep Depression over north interior Odisha & adjoining north Chhattisgarh.
As informed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapda, Jajpur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Nawarangpur, Bolangir, and Keonjhar.
Surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely along and off Odisha coast and over North & West-central Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. Sea condition will be rough to very rough, the IMD added.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea along and off Odisha coast, North and West Central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.
