Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in several districts of Odisha for the next 24 hours, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.
The IMD has issued yellow warning for the next two days, with heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Bolangir, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, and Malkangiri during the next 24 hours.
Similar weather condition is to prevail over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda,
Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh during the subsequent 24 hours.
The IMD has further predicted that another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Eastcentral and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal around September 25. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and reach Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours.
Under its influence, a fresh spell of heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha from September 26.
