Bhubaneswar: The Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal will be triggering heavy to very heavy rainfall over coastal and southern Odisha. According to the IMD, over the next 24 hours, heavy to very heavy is expected over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and Kandhamal.
While an orange warning has been issued for these districts, the IMD informed that heavy rainfall is expected to occur in Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Boudh, Bolangir, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Angul districts.
Till October 7 morning, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in different parts of the State, the IMD informed.
