Bhubaneswar: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), low pressure has formed in north-west Bay Bengal which will probably cause heavy to very heavy rainfall in coastal Odisha.
The tweet from the regional Meteorological Department here said that under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over West-Central and adjoining North-West Bay of Bengal, low pressure has formed over the same region. It added that the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.
Apart from coastal Odisha, parts of northern Andhra Pradesh shall also face similar weather conditions. Accordingly, the fisherfolk have been advised to stay away from the sea in this time period.
