Bhubaneswar: ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini is also likely to campaign in Odisha. It became evident after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its revised list of star campaigners on Tuesday. She has been included in the party’s star campaigners’ list in place of Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Although Hema Malini, the sitting Mathura MP, is scheduled to visit Odisha, the BJP state wing is yet to reveal the date of her arrival.
Apart from Hema Malini, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Nitin Gadkari and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Odisha to intensify campaigns ahead of polls.
According to sources, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to visit Odisha and hold a public meeting in Rayagada on May 8 whereas Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 8. Sai will also address public meetings in Nabarangpur and Koraput on May 8 and on May 9 respectively.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Odisha on May 9 to address three public meetings in Malkangiri, Chitrakonda and Khallikote.
Similarly, Nitin Gadkari will visit Odisha on May 9 to address a public gathering in Puri and Krushnaprasad.
