Bhubaneswar: “She is still my girlfriend and I don’t know how our intimate video went viral,” Aditya Raj, the arrested engineering student of ITER college explained to reporters here on Monday.

Pleading innocence, he said police should find out who is behind making the video viral.

Aditya, a fourth year B.Tech student, is being quizzed by the Khandagiri police after he was arrested on Sunday evening for allegedly making a sex video featuring him and his girlfriend viral on social media.

Soon after OMMCOM NEWS reported the matter first, the Twin City police swung into action and arrested the accused as the girl turned down to level any allegation against him.

Meanwhile, the cops have recorded the statements of the girl under section of 161 CrPC.

When media persons asked Police Commissioner Y.B.Khurania about the progress of investigation, he said: “ A case has been registered in this connection at Khanagiri police station under IT Act and various sections of IPC. A person was arrested over circulating an obscene video on social media.”

“It’s a cognizable offence,” the top cop added.

Sources said police are now verifying all the aspects in the case to resolve several questions.

Worth mentioning, the 1.13-minute-duration-sex video, which was recorded on selfie mode, was allegedly shared by the accused with his friends on Whatsapp following which it went viral.
