Hero Super Cup Football 2018: Inaugural Match To Kick off in Bhubaneswar

**Bhubaneswar**: The best of Indian Football has gripped Odisha as the inaugural edition of the Hero Super Cup 2018 is all set to kick off at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on 31st March 2018. It is a 3-week event that culminates with the final on the 20th of April 2018.

The pre-quarter finals of the tournament will commence tonight with Chennaiyin FC will face off Aizwal FC in the inaugural match. The players of some of the teams have reached the temple city and are looking forward to their respective matches.

Churchill Brothers coach Alfred Fernandes said, “We are looking forward to win the quarterfinals against Mohun Bagan on Sunday as we have defeated the Delhi Dynamos in the qualifiers which has boosted our morale.”

A total of 16 teams from the ‘Super League’ will be participating in the tournament which will be organised at Kalinga Stadium. The State Government, Sports Department and FAO are jointly organising the tournament.

Super Cup 2018 will be played on a knock-out format and the final match is scheduled on April 20. Total 15 matches will decide the fate of the teams which are participating in the football tournament.

The official audio of Hero Super Cup 2018 was released on Thursday.

Meanwhile, all measures are taken by the concerned authorities in Bhubaneswar for the smooth conduct of the event.
