High School Students Weak In General Science, Maths & English, Says Minister

Bhubaneswar: The students of Government High Schools in the State are weak in Maths, English and General Science. The assessment has been done on the basis of marks secured by the students in the last Summative Assessment, said School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash.

Responding to an unstarred question raised by MLA Dhruba Charan Sahu, the Minister said that remedial classes, proper monitoring, unit tests, and review of lessons are being conducted to for students who are weak in these subjects, Dash’s reply noted.

Smart Class, Science Lab, and Digital Library under 5T High School Transformation programme are also supporting students to develop in subjects which they find tough, the Minister added.
