Bhubaneswar: Campaigning for the first phase of polls in Odisha is going to end on Saturday evening.
With few hours left for campaigning to end, leaders of different political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo voters. Meanwhile, candidates are busy campaigning from door to door, organizing rallies, road shows and meetings to attract voters.
Over the past few days, BJP heavyweights including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers and other senior national-level leaders have held separate meetings in Odisha constituencies where voting will be held on May 13.
On the other hand, Biju Janata Dal President Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T Chairman VK Pandian took up the fight for the party as they campaigned extensively in the constituencies going for polls on May 13.
The Election Commission has beefed up security arrangements to ensure a free and fair election in the state.
In the first phase, voting will be held in Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Berhampur Lok Sabha seats and 28 assembly seats under it. Voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm on May 13.
