Titilagarh: In a significant move against examination malpractice, the District Education Officer (DEO) of Balangir has suspended the Headmaster -cum-Examination Center Superintendent of Haladi High School in Muribahal, following allegations of irregularities during the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination.

The action was taken based on the directive of Balangir Collector Gaurav Shivaji Isalwar.

The suspended officials include Umesh Biswal, the Headmaster and Examination Center Superintendent, and Baijayanti Subuddhi, an Assistant Teacher.

Additionally, the Muribahal Block Education Officer (BEO) has been instructed to suspend four other teachers involved in the examination process. These teachers are Ankita Padhan from Yamuna Upper Primary School, Manoj Kumbhar from Hadhada Upper Primary School, Kapileswar Behera from Bankel Upper Primary School, and Somnath Dhal from Jugirta School who were deployed at the Haladi High School as examination invigilators.

The irregularities came to light during an inspection by Titlagarh Sub-Collector Rehan Kshetri at Haladi High School, where students were appearing for the English paper of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination on Tuesday.

Observing lapses in the examination process, the Sub-Collector recommended the District Collector for immediate action.

DEO Pradeep Nag confirmed the suspensions and stated that strict measures are being taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
