Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today announced holiday for all schools in the state after 1 PM on January 11 for students to watch the live telecast of the inaugural ceremony of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, said an official press release.
The notification applies to all Government schools, grant-in-aid schools, private schools and public schools (self-financed), release added.
The release said that the inaugural ceremony will showcase Odisha’s art, culture, heritage and tradition and the programme will be live telecast.
