Boudh: A home guard was critically injured in a shooting at Palsagora village under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district on Saturday.
The injured home guard has been identified as Bantu Kar. He was hit by a bullet near his right knee. He has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital at Sonepur. The accused has been identified as Sujit Khatua of Palsagora.
Manamunda police have launched an investigation into the matter.
According to reports, home guard Bantu Kar was allegedly shot at by Sujit Khatua while he was trying to resolve a dispute between two groups.
