Odisha Cadre IPS Officer Amrit Mohan Prasad Appointed Special DG, CRPF

Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad has been appointed as Special Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He is a 1989 batch IPS officer of Odisha cadre.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved his appointment.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Shri Amrit Mohan Prasad, IPS (OD:89) as Special Director General, CRPF,” a government notification stated.

He is appointed in the Level-16 of the pay matrix from the date of joining the post and up to 31.08.2025 i.e., date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
