Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), the Housing & Urban Development Department, in collaboration with the Commerce & Transport Department, took a united pledge to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity, and security of the nation.
According to an official press release, the ceremony was held under the esteemed chairmanship of Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary , H&UD , Commerce & Transport Department.
The event brought together members of both departments to reaffirm their commitment to the values of unity and integrity, essential for fostering a strong and secure nation.
Padhee emphasized the importance of working collaboratively across departments to address challenges and uphold the principles that bind the nation together.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrated annually, honours the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s “Iron Man,” and his contributions to the Nation’s unity. The pledge-taking ceremony served as a reminder of the responsibility each individual and department holds in contributing to a cohesive and resilient society.
