Bhubaneswar: Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of Housing & Urban Development and Public Enterprises, has appealed to the residents of Bhubaneswar to decorate their homes in celebration of the upcoming three-day 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas event.
Speaking to the media, Minister Mahapatra emphasized the importance of creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere during the event.
“I request all the residents of Bhubaneswar to decorate their homes as they do during Diwali. Let’s light up our houses, clean our surroundings, and design Rangoli at the entrances. Commercial establishments, including petrol pumps, should also be decorated and maintained with cleanliness. Using flowers to enhance the decoration will add to the colorful spirit of the event,” he said.
The Minister further highlighted that this collective effort would not only beautify the city but also showcase Bhubaneswar’s charm to the world.
“This event is an opportunity for the global community to admire Bhubaneswar’s beauty and culture,” he added.
Dr Mahapatra also noted that the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas would bring international recognition to Odisha’s Asmita (Pride), showcasing its rich culture, food, lifestyle, and history on the world stage.
