Bhubaneswar: The police have registered a case after singer Humane Sagar’s mother, Sefali Suna, has filed a complaint at the Markat Nagar Police Station in Cuttack, seeking an impartial investigation into her son’s death.
The police have registered the case under various sections of the BNS, including 356/2, 61/2B, 318/4, 115/2, 351/B, and 305 and reportedly issued notices to the singer’s wife, manager and a female singer.
In an emotional statement, Suna expressed her grief, saying she has no one else but her son and is ready to give her life for him. She emphasised she’s not blaming anyone and wants the truth to come out in the investigation.
Suna’s complaint alleges potential foul play, poisoning, physical harm, abetment, criminal negligence, harassment, threats, conspiracy, financial motives, or tampering with evidence, including digital records. She has urged the police to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation, exploring all possible angles and holding those responsible accountable.
The complaint names several individuals, including Humane’s wife, Shreya Mishra, managers Dinesh Behera and Prashant Behera, singer Arpita Choudhury, and others, seeking an investigation into their roles in his death. Suna has also requested specific investigative steps, such as reviewing CCTV footage, preserving digital records, and scrutinising financial transactions.
