Former Honourary Wildlife Warden Bhanumitra Acharya opined that forest ranges under Baripada forest reserve boasts of several wild animals such as sambar, deers, wild boars and other animals. Poachers usually use inhumane methods of mixing poison in food or use of bombs to easily kill the animals, he added.
Acharya said that he has been in touch with Swayam Mallik, Baripada Forest Officer to put an end to hunting in this area.
